Esther Rees has been appointed as the Impact Trust EYFS (Early years foundation stage) lead. Esther has been the EYFS lead at Clare House Primary School for the last 8 years, developing an ambitious and exciting curriculum for all children. Esther has a wide range of experience, teaching in Mexico and Australia. She has led evidence-based change to introduce a more play based, progressive curriculum which incorporates a mix of child directed, adult guided and adult directed learning opportunities, supporting and enabling colleagues on the journey. Early years education is incredibly important to us as a trust, the period from birth to eight years old is one of remarkable brain development for children and represents a crucial window of opportunity for education. We know that when children are healthy, safe, and learning well in their early years, they are better able to reach their full developmental potential as adults. With Esther’s expertise we want to support and develop our early years provision even further, ensuring we remain up to date with the latest research and development for our youngest learners.
