Informal Consultation - Potential merger with another local Academy Trust
We are seeking views on what we believe to be an exciting proposal for Darrick Wood School to merge with Impact Multi Academy Trust. We are consulting on these proposals between 5 July 2024 and 18 July 2024.
The schools in Impact Multi Academy Trust and Darrick Wood School Academy Trust have much in common. All our schools are popular and successful and all are based close to each-other, serving shared local communities. We are committed to building on our shared foundations.
Our Trusts already enjoy a close working relationship and we believe that combining our experience, expertise and resources would enable us to strengthen still further the extensive range of central services provided by Impact Multi Academy Trust to our schools. In addition, we believe that this will extend even further the existing opportunities within Impact Multi Academy Trust for pupil and staff collaboration. We believe this will ensure an even wider range of curricular and extra-curricular experiences for our pupils and professional and career development opportunities for our staff.
Impact Multi Academy Trust currently consists of three primary and four secondary schools: Clare House Primary School, Hawes Down Primary School, Langley Park Primary School, Hayes School, Langley Park School for Boys, Langley Park School for Girls and Ravens Wood School. Darrick Wood School Academy Trust has been a single academy trust since 2010.
If this went ahead then all staff would retain their terms and conditions of employment. We are now engaging with our staff, our families and with other local schools and trusts, through an informal consultation process before considering next steps.
