A Summer of Success

Posted on: August 24th - 2023

Impact Primary Schools set the bar for our Secondary Schools earlier this summer, as they celebrated strong Key Stage 2 results towards the end of the summer term. Clare House Primary, Hawes Down Primary and Langley Park Primary all far exceeded national figures in all key benchmarks.

We are particularly proud of Langley Park Primary School as they celebrated their first set of Key Stage 2 results. Their first ever Year 6 cohort saw an incredible 90% and above of pupils achieving expected progress in reading and the same in maths. Our other two primary schools saw similarly strong results.

The following month, Impact Secondary Schools have followed suit with an incredible 1000 students receiving A level results from across our four Secondary Schools. Over half of A level grades at Hayes School and Langley Park School for Girls were A*- B grades. At Hayes School an incredible one in five grades were A*-A.

We are proud of the broad range of courses offered across our Sixth forms Langley Park School for Boys celebrated phenomenal results in the Arts with Photography (100% A*-A), Art (56% A*-A, 89% A*-B), Graphics (20% A*-A, 50% A*-B) Drama (20% A*-A, 40% A*-B) and Music (67 % A*- B). At Ravens Wood students celebrated strong results in STEM subjects including further Maths (50% A*-A), Physics (32% A*-A), and Maths (25% A*-A). Students at Langley Park Girls School secured strong results in a wide range of subjects with 100% A*-C in Dance, Further Maths, German and Music.

Across the Impact Secondary Schools students also celebrated strong vocational results with a fifth of all pupils achieving Distinction and Distinction* results and a 99% and above pass rate across our schools. At Hayes School, the average grade attained was Distinction+.

We are also enormously proud of Aishwarya K (LPGS - Cambridge), Ivy S (LPGS - Oxford), Archie F (RWS- Cambridge), Jamie W (LPSB-Oxford) who have secured their places at Cambridge or Oxford Universities.

This year group sat their first set of public examinations this year, following the cancellation of their GCSEs and the use of Teacher Assessed Grades in 2021. These results have really been a team effort. Huge thank you to our cleaners and site staff for helping to re-open our schools and keep us safe. To our support staff and pastoral staff for guiding our students through turbulent times. To our teachers for their resilience and determination in supporting our students. To our families for their love and support including home schooling! And to our students, these results are testament to their hard work and commitment, and we wish them well with the exciting next steps!

Impact GCSE Results are equally impressive. At all four of our secondary schools, over 60% of students achieved a grade 5 or above and over 80% achieved a grade 4 or above in maths. In English, all four of our secondary schools saw at least 65% achieving a grade 5 in and at least 79% achieving at least a grade 4. These results are well above National Performance data and it is terrific to see our students registering onto a wide range of A Level and Vocational courses in our Sixth forms.
