My role as Hub Manager, and involvement with Challenge Partners, began when I was appointed as Vice Principal of Hayes School in 2020. Since then, I have loved working with a large hub supporting in knowledge mobilisation, training and collaboration for colleagues across our schools. It is always a pleasure to see how the work of the hub is supporting schools and the students, and communities we serve. The role of hub manager has enabled me to be involved with QAR reviews, SEND Development Review, Sharing Practice Visits and of course meeting professionals from across our National Network. These opportunities have been invaluable in my own development and influenced the areas I lead and manage at Hayes. I have been at Hayes School since 2020. Prior to this, I have been a school leader in two other large London secondary school with responsibilities spanning Pastoral provision, Curriculum and Teaching. I have also supported other secondary schools as a Specialist Leader of Education in English. In my current role as Vice Principal, I am also the Scheme Manager for Bromley Schools’ Collegiate, a School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provider. Prior to becoming a teacher, I have experience of working in alternative provision, supporting both vulnerable young people and adults. Our hub values are community, collaboration, growth and challenge and it is so powerful to see these demonstrated in the work we do. I enjoy opportunities to share practice and work together towards our shared vision of ‘sharing and developing excellence, to create equity and impact positively on the children and young people and professionals in our schools’
